Token & community

Plain-language guides for creators — no engineering homework required.

The $DEMI token is how we think about long-term alignment between people who believe in creator-owned shows and the infrastructure that has to exist to make those shows real.

Liquidity and attention will always find their own paths on the open internet. What we care about is whether the product underneath rewards the people who actually ship episodes — not just the people who flip metadata.

Planned utility (honest framing)

Nothing here is a promise of financial return. It is the direction we are designing toward:

  • Season economics — ways to commit to a block of episodes or a season arc at better effective rates, paired with transparent compute costs where USDC still settles the heavy lifting.
  • Fee relief on premium model tiers and batch rendering for wallets that participate in the ecosystem.
  • Light governance — non-binding votes and signal collection so loud Twitter threads are not our only feedback loop.
  • Creator pools — structures where holders can co-fund pilots with clear revenue-share rules, once legal and accounting rails exist.

Today

Until the mint and DEX routes are fully live, treat $DEMI as a north star, not a payment method. Credits bought with USDC are what unlock generation right now. The same wallet you link for USDC is the wallet we expect you to use later for token-side perks — one onboarding, two eras of the product.

Why we mention Pump.fun at all

Launchpads are noisy. We still use them because they are where independent communities form today — the same way Bandcamp mattered for music even when the rest of the industry laughed. The token page on demi.video is the canonical place to read the ticker, contract address when it exists, and links out to the community market — without pretending those links are “official investment advice.”

If you only care about making episodes and never touch a token, that is fine. Demi should still be the best place to author and ship your show.
